Jenny Chung, Attorney/Program Manager, Insight Center for Community Economic Development
Jenny Chung is a Program Manager for Legal Services and Californians for Family Economic Self-Sufficiency (CFESS), a statewide policy coalition made up of community colleges, grassroots organizations, welfare agencies, workforce development agencies, women’s organizations and others, advocating for policies and programs that build economic security for families, seniors, and the communities in which they live. Her CFESS responsibilities include building partnerships, conducting research on issues pertaining to self-sufficiency, and developing tools that help move families to economic security. Jenny’s Legal Services responsibilities include researching legal issues affecting legal services program attorneys engaged in community economic development projects and drafting nonprofit incorporation documents. Jenny worked for the Insight Center as a legal intern for Legal Services and CFESS during the summer of 2006. Prior to joining the Insight Center, Jenny was a paralegal for the Law Offices of Jay B. Koslofsky and Wartelle, Weaver, and Schreiber, attorneys specializing in tenant-landlord litigation. Jenny received her Juris Doctor degree in 2007 from the University of California at Los Angeles and her B.A. in Legal Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
Randall Gaines, Controller, Insight Center for Community Economic Development
Randall Gaines joined the Insight Center in 2006. He has over 25 years of accounting experience gained in both the for-profit and governmental sector. Randall has overall responsibility for the Insight Center’s internal and external financial reporting. Randall is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining the Insight Center, he was a controller for $25MM governmental contractor. He started his professional career at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young), one of the “Big 8” accounting firms. Randall also has a California Community College Instructor Credential. He taught accounting part time for six years at several Bay Area community colleges. Randall received a business degree from California State University, Hayward and a Spanish degree from San Francisco State University. He is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants and the California CPA Society.
