LawHelpCalifornia.org is a client-focused website that contains a database of referrals to free and low-cost legal services organizations, court programs, and State Bar-certified lawyer referral services for Californians who are low-income, elderly, or have disabilities. Additionally, the website links to over 1,800 self-help resources, including materials in over 30 languages.
ProBono.net/CA is dedicated to supporting pro bono statewide, and contains the pro bono opportunities guide, as well as information about pro bono clinics and training calendars.
CALegalAdvocates.org is the online home for the statewide legal services community with news, advocacy materials, resources, training calendars, listservs, and more.
Legal Services National Technology Assistance Project (LSNTAP): "We believe technology is a resource that can greatly increase how many low-income clients are helped by nonprofit, legal service organizations. We also believe appropriate technology can help our clients fight injustices that keep them in poverty."
Nonprofit Technology Community (NTEN): "NTEN is the membership organization of nonprofit professionals who put technology to use for their causes. We enable our members to do their jobs better and help their organizations strategically use technology so that they, in turn, make the world a better, just, and equitable place."
TechSoup: "TechSoup.org offers nonprofits a one-stop resource for technology needs by providing free information, resources, and support. In addition to online information and resources, we offer a product philanthropy service called TechSoup Stock. Here, nonprofits can access donated and discounted technology products, generously provided by corporate and nonprofit technology partners."
CompassPoint Nonprofit Services: "CompassPoint Nonprofit Services is a consulting, research, and training organization providing nonprofits with management tools, strategies, and resources to lead change in their communities. With offices in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, we work with community-based nonprofits in executive transition, planning, boards of directors, finance systems and business planning, fundraising, and technology."
Legal Services Bulletin: The Legal Services Bulletin, published quarterly, lists regional and national legislative news, state bar and court updates, and other topics of interest to the legal community. Michigan State University Library – Grants for Nonprofits: This site offers a comprehensive list of funding opportunities, primarily from foundations.
